Weekday Breakfast

Options, Options, Options

We know that sometimes breakfast for dinner just sounds good, or that breakfast sometimes turns into brunch when you want to take those rare opportunities to sleep in. So we’ve designed an “open kitchen” with the makings of a gourmet continental breakfast that you can enjoy all or part of anytime during your stay. This means you can enjoy anything on the counter, in the refrigerator or the ice cream in the freezer whenever you get hungry!

If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know in advance so we can make sure there are breakfast items for you to enjoy! We try to have gluten free bread in the freezer and almond milk in the fridge, but just to make sure…. let us know beforehand!

If you travel with your own food, or have leftovers from last night’s dinner, you are welcome to place items in the kitchen refrigerator; just be sure you label it with your room number so other guests don’t think we provided it!

While you are welcome to enjoy the continental breakfast items and refreshments in the butler’s pantry any time during your stay use of the oven and stove are not permitted during individual stays. If you can’t cook it in the microwave, don’t bring it!

In the fridge you are likely to find individual servings of:

  • Some type of protein dish such as quiche or sausage balls;
  • Sliced fruit;
  • Greek yogurt (with all the fixin’s);
  • A little something extra and,
  • Juice and milk.

On the counter, help yourself to:

  • Smoothie bar – grab a pre-measured “Smoothie Pack” from the freezer and blend away.  Recipes are available to assist your creative side.
  • Assorted dry cereals;
  • Whole fruit;
  • Toasting station with local jellies;
  • French press coffee with an assortment of coffee blends from Independence Coffee; and, hot tea options.

Another Fresh Option

In addition to our usual flexible weekday gourmet continental breakfast options, we’ll treat you on the weekends (and high season weekdays) with made-to-order egg dishes from 8:30AM to 9:30 or 10:00AM, prepared by the Property Host (we can’t really call ourselves, Chefs, but we do have fun!). Just show up in the kitchen during this time and we will make your breakfast right then!

In addition to all this, we like to provide a surprise or two at breakfast! Keith tends to make (some pretty amazing) omelettes, breakfast tacos, or his “Almost Famous” Heart-Stopper Special breakfast sandwich while Suzy adds pancakes, sweet potato hash or quinoa bowls! And sometimes we have homemade banana bread or pastries from a local bakery. The options are endless, but you can be guaranteed service with a smile and made to order!

If you would like to have breakfast in your room, come down and order it and we will put a tray together for you to take back up to the room!
