We can accommodate three different types of groups:
Whole house rental – you rent out all the guest rooms (sleeps 11 adults), we check in a group host, bring you breakfast the next morning, and leave you alone the rest of your stay! Children under 12 can stay when you rent the entire house. The maximum overnight capacity including children over 2 is 16 guests. Family reunions, couples traveling together, wedding groups, birthday celebrations all fall under this type of group! You get the private use of all inside and outside common areas. If you want to have an evening meal catered or host an event during your stay, additional fees and arrangements are required. Fees vary depending on the number of non-registered guests attending your event and/or the logistics of the event (parking is in short supply around the house).
Upstairs only rental – you rent out the entire upstairs – three guest rooms and Third Wheel room (sleeps 7 adults) – and follow all our regular policies (no children under 12). There is some space in the upstairs landing for a private snack/beverage table to be set up and you can mingle between your guest rooms without interrupting or being interrupted by other guests. We can arrange for breakfast to be served privately to your group downstairs each morning. Common areas are shared with other guests and no non-registered guests are permitted.
Business meeting with rooms – perfect for a board, strategy or team meeting that will take more than a few hours! Our second common room has a large Smart TV which makes it perfect for presentations! Minimum rental of 2 downstairs rooms required. Meeting can start as early as 3:00pm on day of check in and continue until finished that night and start up as early as needed the next day! We can help you arrange lunch brought in or an evening group activity. The majority of the meeting attendees need to be staying on property for this to work! Maximum capacity for a business group meeting is twelve (12) registered and non-registered guests in total.
Business meetings without guest rooms, community group meetings, elopements and planned activity weekends all fall under Events. Check out that tab if your groups falls under any of those categories!

Events planned by you:
You are looking for a place to reconnect with friends or family for just a few hours during the day or evening! You plan on bringing in your own food and drinks (or having it catered) and you don’t expect more than 24 guests at any one time. Rental includes tables and chairs, sometimes linens and use of the kitchen, all inside and outside spaces downstairs as well as a Property Host. The Property Host does the set up, clean up and refilling of refreshments so you can enjoy time with your invited guests! Must rent one (1) downstairs room for coats/bathroom, etc. Event can be anytime between 11am – 7pm, Monday – Thursday. Other times and days can be arranged on a case-by-case situation. Baby or bridal showers, luncheons, community group meetings, and short business meetings all fall under this category.
If you would like to plan an elopement on property, we can do that too! That type of event requires a whole house rental (all five rooms) for a two night stay and a maximum of 14 guests plus the bride and groom. Package cost is $2,500 and is available Monday – Thursday only. Elopement packages include cake, flowers, photography with your camera, disposable tableware, champagne glasses (you provide the champange or we provide a non-alcoholic punch), chairs, and some ceremony decor. Additional services available for an additional fee. Weekend elopements can be scheduled for an additional fee depending on the season.
Events planned by us:
These are events we plan, organize and manage that happen at MSH! In the past they have included themed weekends such as murder mystery, American Mahjong lessons and tournament, writing workshops and house concerts. These events are usually for overnight guests and depending on the theme, may require a two night stay. Sometimes we open them up to non-guests… it just depends on what’s happening!
